Name:  

The name of the organization is "Euro-American Platform for Rehabilitation Services" to be know as the Euro-American Platform.

Legal Status:

The Euro-American Platform will operate as an unincorporated body.

Membership:

The membership of the Euro-American Platform will consist of the European Platform for Vocational Rehabilitation (EPVR) and the National Consortium of State-Operated Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centers. (NCSOCRC).

Purpose:

The purpose of the Euro-American Platform is to promote co-operation between members of the EPVR and the NCSOCRC in order to enhance the prospects of independent living and employment for consumers of their services, particularly people with disabilities.

Scope:

Co-operation may embrace all aspects of the work of the organizations affiliated to the EPVR and the NCSOCRC.

Governance:

A Steering Committee will be appointed composed of 5 (five) members nominate by the Board of the EPVR and 5 (five) members nominated by the Directors of the NCSOCRC.

The Steering Committee will meet at least twice a year and will be responsible for all matters concerning the Euro-American Platform. Meetings will alternate between both continents.

The Steering Committee will elect a chairperson from its own members who shall serve for a period of two years. The office of chairperson should alternate between nominees of the EPVR and the NCSOCRC.

A member is eligible for re-election as chairperson subject to the alternate nominee clause.

The tenure of a nominee on the Steering Committee shall be two years and members will be eligible for re-appointment.

The Steering Committee has a quorum if 5 (five) members of the Steering Committee are present, with at least 2 (two) members from the EPVR and 2 (two) members of the NCSOCRC.

Funding:

The Steering Committee will be empowered to raise funds on its own behalf. There will be no membership fee.
